AUDIT IT&C joins Ro-HydroHub, a reference project for the research and development of hydrogen technologies in Romania. This strategic initiative, coordinated by the National Research-Development Institute for Cryogenic and Isotopic Technologies - ICSI Râmnicu Vâlcea, is funded by the Operational Programme for Smart Growth, Digitalization and Financial Instruments (POCIDIF), with a budget of over 130 million euro.
The project is an essential step in the transition towards a sustainable energy system, where hydrogen plays a central role in reducing carbon emissions and increasing energy independence. Through a multidisciplinary approach, Ro-HydroHub aims tostrengthen the necessary infrastructure for the production, storage and use of hydrogen, with a direct impact on the modernization of the industry and the development of innovative solutions for the energy and transport sectors.
The project launch event, held in Râmnicu Vâlcea on March 13, 2025, brought together representatives of public institutions, academia and the private sector, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between research and industry for the development of hydrogen technologies. The program of the event included a series of speeches by officials, a guided tour of the infrastructure dedicated to the project, as well as a panel discussion on the future of hydrogen as a sustainable energy source in Romania and the European Union.
Ro-HydroHub is an essential project in the context of accelerating the energy transition and the implementation of technological solutions capable of supporting climate neutrality objectives. Through this initiative, Romania strengthens its position in the field of applied hydrogen research and assumes an active role in the transformation of the European energy sector.
